Get five Claudes to roast your LinkedIn profile, then fix it

linkedin-roast is a free, MIT Claude Code skill: five Claude reviewers score and quote your profile, then it rewrites your headline, About and every job.

Five Claudes roasted a LinkedIn profile, and all five gave it a 3/10. linkedin-roast is a free, MIT-licensed Claude Code skill: five separate Claude reviewers score and quote your profile, then it rewrites your headline, About and every experience entry. This is the full version of the LINK guide from my Reel. Facts checked on 20 Oct 2026 against the repo README, SKILL.md and the jordan-sample output.

01What it is

A Claude Code skill by Alex Chen (github.com/alexyc9381/linkedin-roast-skill). It starts five sub-agents at once, each playing one reader: a recruiter, a hiring manager, a founder, an expert in your field and a peer at your level. Each reads your profile alone, quotes the exact lines it would cut, gives a score out of 10 and names its first fix. It is not made by Anthropic or LinkedIn.

02Why it matters

Nobody tells you why a recruiter skipped your profile. In the repo's fictional sample ("Jordan Sample"), all five readers gave a 3/10, and every one flagged the same headline, "Passionate Team Player | Open to New Opportunities": no job title, so a search for the role never finds it. Because no reader sees the others' answers, nobody goes easy on you, and problems that three or more raise are listed as the ones to fix first.

03Setup

Install: paste this into Claude Code
https://github.com/alexyc9381/linkedin-roast-skill
Install this skill, then confirm /linkedin-roast works.
Or install it as a plugin
/plugin marketplace add alexyc9381/linkedin-roast-skill
/plugin install linkedin-roast-skill@linkedin-roast-skill

Or copy it yourself: cp -r skills/linkedin-roast ~/.claude/skills/, then open a new Claude Code session.

  1. Save your profile as a PDF on LinkedIn (desktop only): Me, View profile, More (or Resources), Save to PDF.
  2. Put the file in the folder you opened Claude Code in.
  3. Run /linkedin-roast my-profile.pdf. You can also paste your profile text or give it a screenshot.
Run the roast
/linkedin-roast my-profile.pdf

04What you get

Everything lands in linkedin-roast-output/:

  1. roasts.md: five roasts plus what they agree on.
  2. new-profile.md: a new headline with two alternates, a new About with the keywords it chose and why, and every experience entry before and after.
  3. banner.png / banner.svg at 1584 x 396.
  4. headshot-prompt.md for your own image tool.

It ends with a five-line checklist of what to paste into LinkedIn.

05Good to know

  1. It never invents facts. Where a bullet needs a number it does not have, it leaves [ADD YOUR NUMBER: ...]. Fill those in with numbers you can defend.
  2. It cannot post to LinkedIn; you paste the new text in yourself.
  3. LinkedIn does not publish how it ranks profiles. Keywords help you match what recruiters type; they do not promise a rank or interviews.
  4. Your profile is sent to Claude like anything you share; leave out what you would not paste into a chat. The skill strips email, phone and address.
  5. One run starts five sub-agents and counts toward your Claude plan's usage.
